Mr. Shazmeer Jiwan is a trailblazing businessman and entrepreneur at the helm of the 85 year old port facility of African Marine. The African Marine and General Engineering Company serves as the key to bringing the port of Mombasa on the global map, as it connects and serves trading vessels from Europe, the Cape, India and the Far East.
Under Mr.Shazmeer Jiwan’s deft leadership and far-reaching vision, African Marine has expanded its range of services from dry docking and ship repairs to more specialized work such as Bunkering, Berthing & Mooring, Ship Chandling, EPZ Facilities & Heavy Engineering. The company boasts of a full-fledged ship building facility at its yard, and it does all this with the promise of exemplary quality at its core. They are the only ISO certified dry-dock facility since 1977 in Mombasa which is an ode to the high quality of standards maintained each day at the company. Mr. Shazmeer’s ambition is to steer African Marine to greater heights by proving to be a pioneer in Marine Engineering Services.
